Secure your session date
The first step is to book in your session, which you can do with a $100 booking fee.
This fee is non-refundable if you choose to cancel, as it secures your date and I'm unable to book someone else for that time. You can change the date and time if necessary.
Location, location, location
Are you a family of beach babes?
Do you love weekend hikes?
Are you often found snuggling up on the couch in front of a movie?
The possibilities here are endless, but you should select a setting that matches the personality of your family.
Whether it's the Point Lonsdale rock pools, the retro holiday house that's been in your family for years, or the funky accommodation you've booked for the first time, this will be the backdrop
that sets the mood for your images.
Your session fee includes a single location, inside or outside, within 50km of Ocean Grove.
The day of the shoot
The time has come! It is almost as exciting for me as it will be for you, since no two photoshoots are the same just as no two families are the same.
Some things that I do recommend for everyone:
Just relax and be yourself. I will go with the flow and am guided by you.
Select outfits for everyone that compliment each other, but not matchy-matchy, unless that's a look you are set on. Avoid big logos/wording on tops (we are looking at you, dads...) or anything that you aren't comfortable in.
If we are inside a home, don't be surprised if I start moving things around a bit. Or if I stick you in a place that feels a little... weird. That doorway might not seem like it would make a great portrait location, but just look at each other and smile and let me worry about the rest.
Be prepared to bribe. Kids of all ages might need some coaxing, but I promise I'll do my part to make it as fun as I can. Plus the best pictures of your cherub are usually when they are doing something they love anyway. That being said, if we need just one more closeup with grandpa, please know how much you are willing to bribe them before it gets to that point.
The session fee of $400 is due on the day of the shoot, either in cash or bank transfer.
Next steps
You'll receive a password-protected link to an online gallery, typically within two weeks of the session. The gallery usually includes 20-50 images.
Grab a glass of something and kick your feet up while you peruse the images together. Select your favourite 10 images, which are included in the session fee.
You may also decide to get extras for $25 each, purchase the entire gallery, or have me organise prints or framing; it's all up to you, and you can decide once you've seen the gallery.
